Is It Harder To Treat Hair Loss
In Women Than Hair Loss Found In Men?

Hair loss is embarrassing no matter who you are. But it’s considerably worse for women, because women are thought of as the ones who aren’t supposed to go bald, whereas men expect it to some degree as they age. It seems as if it doesn’t occur that much, and so there are fewer options for women, or at least so it is advertised.

If you look into prescription options, even though they are undesirable at it is, they are not made for women. They actually have ingredients highly specific to men, and they can cause serious side effects in women among other things. It’s not that women’s hair loss is harder to treat. It’s that it doesn’t occur as often. So there is a smaller market for it.

The good news is there are treatments tailored to women. Often times, they actually have the same ingredients in those tailored to men. Those ingredients work for both sexes, they just aren’t marketed toward women. They rule out the few ingredients that can cause greater problems for women, and they come up with formulas that have been specifically proven to work in women as well.
